Rosie Morland

Rosie Morland took time our from her science day job to get involved with Fighting Badgers, and ended up taking on a number of roles during production of The Ipanema File… producer, costume, ‘art department’, script supervisor…. and general Fat Controller of The Spreadsheets!

Favourite scene from The Ipanema File?

  • It’s hard to pick! I really liked the interrogation scene, as it was amazing how we transformed the set, and also there was lots of fake blood… all the days with fake blood were pretty good! I also loved the visuals we got when filming a death scene by the sea, even we were racing against the tide on a chilly day in April, it was 100% worth it.
Favourite potential blooper/outake?
  • There was an amazing moment when one of the actors accidentally let loose a “BAM” while shooting someone!

Thing you wouldn’t leave the house without during a shoot?

  • Slate, slate pen, paper, pens, SAFETY PINS – towards the end of the shoot I had the slate pen, a soft cloth, a 4-colour biro, and a bunch of safety pins permanently attached to my person…

Did you learn anything during The Ipanema File shoot?

  • Lots. The importance of planning (and sticking to it), loads about cinematography and lighting and filters etc from our DP Jim Edgar, how to properly coil cables (cheers Zsolt!)
Favourite ice-cream?!
  • I can’t possibly choose. I’ve never met an ice-cream I didn’t like 🙂

Jennifer Schofield

Jennifer Schofield is part of the core Fighting Badgers Crew, and we don’t know what we’d do without her! She came on board as a producer, and could always be counted on to keep things organised and moving smoothly! Here’s what she had to say about her experience since she joined the team back in February (2014).

Favourite scene from The Ipanema File?

  • The clown scene – was a quick scene we managed to get in at the end of the day and definitely one worth doing.  Both Josh and Simeon were ace! Oh and another favourite scene is when Louis and Frankie walk up behind Joseph in the Park.  Watching it back quickly on set, it works really well visually as they seem to cross each other from behind the tree.
Favourite potential blooper/outake?
  • Again from the clown scene and might have started off as an outtake – but it was when Josh ate the flower at the end unexpectedly and I could see just how stunned we all were behind the camera that he did it!

Thing you wouldn’t leave the house without during a shoot?

  • An endless supply of pens, paper, safety pins, tissues and plasters.  Oh and lots of coffee!

Did you learn anything during The Ipanema File shoot?

  • Like above – always good to carry a supply of things.  Plus to expect that things may sometimes not always go to plan but that these can actually help and be an asset to the final film rather than a hindrance!
Favourite ice-cream?!
  • Thunder and Lighting or just plain old vanilla

Anthony Chisholm

Anthony Chisholm plays the second policeman in The Ipanema File, alongside Tim Mcdonald.

Favourite scene:

  • The bizarre yet funny scene with the clown. For me, It stood out in the script even before filming began.

Potential bloopers:

  • Didn’t see much action as I only worked on set for one day, but I’m looking forward to any fight/gun scene bloopers. (Just you wait Anthony! – Fighting Badgers)

Thing you wouldn’t leave the house without during a shoot?

  • Normally I wouldn’t leave the house for a shoot without my ‘Boots anti dry mouth/breath freshener’ For Ipanema Files I also couldn’t of possibly left the house without my police hat or CS gas. We didn’t use CS gas on set but it was very handy for getting through the tube crowds on the way there.

Did you learn anything during The Ipanema File shoot?

  • On the Ipanema Files I learnt that doing surreal scenes are slightly addictive. I’ve craved and done more surreal scenes since that last day. I’ve also learnt that Daniel puts together a great team. They were a pleasure to work with since the first house meeting.

Favourite Ice-cream?

  • Oh yes, Ice Cream!… Rum & Raisin
